Wildfires_in-Europe

The VRE Wildfires in Europe will enable the possibility to analyse and combine data related to wildfires obsrevations over Europe. The collected information will provide a dedicated in situ dataset of high quality describing 4d wildfire plumes. This would be highly valuable for scientific studies but also as a diagnostics tool for assessing the ability of the Copernicus models to reproduce such plumes (spatial extent and chemical composition). Finally, this collection of wildfires information will form the scientific basis for the evaluation of the impacts of such events.
