OGF-Europe will jointly support the RECURSE workshop (hosted by the 4th International Digital Curation Conference) with DReSNET (EPSRC Digital Repositories eScience Network).

"Shaping a Roadmap for the Future of Research Libraries"

The D4Science kick-off meeting will be held in January 2008 in Sophia Antipolis according to the following schedule:

• 7 January: gCube Core meeting
• 8 January: gCube Core meeting (cont'd)
• 8 January: D4Science Technical meeting
• 9 January: D4Science Technical meeting (cont’d)
• 10 January: D4Science Kick-off
• 11 January: Quality Assurance Meeting

The 5th Technical Committee (TCom) meeting took place between the 1-5 of December in Geneva, Switzerland. The meeting was hosted by CERN (Meyrin site).

A D4Science TCom event is a face-to-face meeting which aims to collectively address any technical issues that arise along the course of the project and to define a concrete plan to properly address them. It is open and flexible, i.e. besides technical partners the whole consortium is potentially invited to attend dependent on the topics to be discussed.

The 4th Technical Committee (TCom) meeting took place between the 8-12 of September in Basel, Switzerland.

The D4Science kick-off meeting was held on Thursday 10 January 2008 at ERCIM in Sophia Antipolis (France). All 11 project partners were represented. The meeting was very productive and was the launching point for the next two years activities.
