Fishery Country Profiles Production System

The Fishery Country Profiles Production System (FCPPS) supports generation of fisheries and aquaculture reports containing focused information in a country-specific format to enhance decision-making and promote advocacy in the sustainable use and conservation of aquatic resources. The production of country profiles requires complex aggregation and editing of continuously evolving multi-lingual data from heterogeneous sources. Availability of the FCPPS VRE will permit updating and web-publishing these vital reports as frequently as the community requires, while also creating a framework that facilitates the introduction of new data sources. FCPPS will be led by the FAO Fisheries and Aquaculture department and will draw upon the experience and results acquired from the ImpECt scenario.
